Timber Dash race info

WE ARE LOOKING FOR VOLUNTEERS!
Timber Dash would not be possible without volunteers! Whether you want to volunteer by yourself or as a family or group, please join us! Volunteers will receive a free event T-shirt to wear at the Timber Dash and beyond. Food and beverages provided for all of our volunteers. Plus, you will have fun and the satisfaction of knowing you are helping to raise money for families in your community!

Volunteers can expect to work from one to four hours. Let us know if you would like to participate as well as volunteer at the event and we will try to find a position that will allow you to do both.

VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES

1. Pre Race - Distribute flyers and postcards throughout Wright County. Stuff race packets and assemble finisher medals.

2. Race Day pre-registered / number / tee shirt pick up - at Lake Maria State Park in Monticello, MN. Beautiful setting in the Big Woods of Lake Maria State Park. This is race day so excitement is guaranteed!

3. Kid’s K - Organize and oversee the kid’s k. Hand out finisher medals to all of our little runners.

4. Greeters/Traffic control –Welcome runners, walkers and spectators as they enter the park. Help maximize parking.

5. Course Marshalls - Manage trail intersections along the route. Front row seat to cheer the runners on. Return to the start/finish area for snacks, beverages and live music.

6. Water Station - Includes preparing the water (pouring into cups) for the runners, handing it out and cleaning up. Lots of energy at the water station and you get a front row seat to see and cheer on all the competitors. When the water station is cleaned up, return to the start/finish area for snacks, live music and beverages.

7. Trail and Race Area Clean Up - at Lake Maria State Park. Rub elbows with the participants, enjoy the live music, and hear their war stories.

8. Set up/Tear down - Help the race crew set up banners, pop-up tents, registration area, banners, start/finish line, etc. All the event trimmings are yours… beverages, snack food, live music, tee shirt and some good old fashioned work!

9. Post Race Refreshments - Set up the refreshments just past the finish. Who doesn't want to be around food to help feed the hungry runners & walkers?

10. FINISHER medals –Hand out to every finisher. We have the coolest ever finisher medal for all Timber Dash finishers. Be part of the newest tradition. Live music to entertain you while you make every finisher doubly happy by giving them their finisher medal!
